School of Foreign Languages Held a Parent-child Activity of Pulp Painting on June 1st
In order to care for the growth of "Seedling of SJTU" of the School of Foreign Languages(SFL), enhance their appreciation of art and beauty, experience the inexhaustible fun of artistic creation, and spend a happy and meaningful Children's Day, SFL held a Parent-Child Activity of Pulp Painting named “Art, My Companion in Growing Up" to celebrate International Children's Day on the evening of May 29, 2021. A total of 15 units of faculty family registered in the activity, which took place in Room 107 of Yang Yongman Building. Zhu Yifan, Vice Secretary of CPC SFL Committee, and Zhao Xiaohong, Chairman of SFL Trade Union, and more than 30 staff members from different departments and offices of SFL participated. Yang Xiaohong, who was in charge of SFL women’s affairs, planned and presided over the event.
Zhao Xiaohong, Chairman of SFL Trade Union, gave a speech, in which she extended her sincere holiday greetings to the children on behalf of SFL and wished them all healthy growth. Zhu Yifan, Vice Secretary of CPC SFL Committee, spoke as a representative of parents, thanking the Women's Committee and the Trade Union for organizing colorful activities every year to promote the parent-child relationship. The Women's Committee made careful planning and preparation for this activity, hoping to enhance children's artistic appreciation and creativity through the medium of pulp paintings, and also to create a platform for faculty to communicate with their children and enhance the affection between them.
After pulp painting, the talent show came.
This activity is known to be one of the series of activities named "Art and Beauty" organized by SFL’s Women's Committee to celebrate the International Children's Day. The Friendly Competition of Children's Paintings and Handicrafts of last year, which was named " Join the Joy and Draw Your Dream", will continue on June 1 next year. Next year's event is anxiously anticipated and it is hoped to be wonderful and happy year after year!
