With more than half a month’s efforts,
The epidemic situation on campus is seeing improvement.
The fight against the epidemic has won an initial victory.
For more than half a month,
Faculty and students of School of Foreign Languages
fight against the epidemic with one heart, bearing witness to
cold spell dispersing and epidemic subsiding.
Together with the hope that
follows the pleasant spring is
the warm gift packages
Carefully prepared by the SFL faculty.

 

 

From blazing sunlight to the early twilight

 

SFL teacher volunteers teamed up and plunged into the work of unloading the boxes of cargoes from the transportation vehicles, carrying them into the reading-room on the first floor of Yangyongman Building and packing students’ gifts. 

 

SFL teachers worked together to carry the supplies into the building. 

 

Li Hongde, Zhao Hongyan and Wang Lin are opening the box.

They put snacks, drinks, fruits etc, and letters into envelopes and packages. 
 

Mingming Yang, Qianxi Lu, Jing Zhang, Dongyan Wang, Min Shi place the letters into the packages carefully. 

 

Ding Jian counted the packages one by one. 

 

 Zhu Yifan was busy packing, and at the same time communicating with the deliverymen. 

 

From blazing afternoon till night fell and lights were up,the assembly line of unpacking, assembling, packing and loading never stopped.

From the Yangyongmao Building to the Dormitories

 

When the first batch of gifts were ready, Ding Jian, Party Secretary of SFL , and Zhu Yifan, Vice Party Secretary of SFL , lead the volunteer teachers Wang Lin, Lu Qianxi, Yang Mingming, Yang Dongdong and Liu Yan to go to the dormitories. 

 

 

Putting on the protective clothing and riding the blue motorcycle,
they transformed into “guarding angles” nicknamed as “Da Bai”,
Delivering the  gift packages to dormitories. 

 

Student volunteers went downstairs to carry the first batch of gifts.

 

In darkness, the last carload of supplies set off for dormitories. 

 

399 gift packages were delivered to dormitories that night.

71 were reserved for students outside school or in quarantine.

The parcels were in good order.

No one was left behind.

 

From the tip of your pen to the depth of my heart

 

Please sign for your package and your share of surprise!
One after another, SFL students came to their dormitory doors to receive the care and love from SFL and its teachers. 

 

 

 

Four kinds of epigram blind boxes were neatly arranged, 
So that students can pick them up at random. 
"Unity of mind, unity of purpose"
"Dawn is here, spring is here"
"The signs of spring are everywhere”
"Win in spring when cherry blossoms sing”

It shows how peculiarly lucky and romantic
the SFL students are.
All efforts are worthwhile
With either a thousand words or
Just one sentence,
“Thank you, My dear teacher!”

 

Cherry blossoms, a harbinger of spring.
The signs of spring are everywhere.
Comforting words are in the air.
SFLers will meet again I swear,
Thank you for your care.
